아리조나 투바시티에서 원주민들을 섬기는 이영호, 이선옥 선교사입니다.
Shalom!
Greetings in our Lord Jesus Christ.
This is pastor Young & Sun Lee who're serving Native Americans in Tuba City Arizona.
인근 다른 지역보다는 강우량이 좀 적은 투바시티지만 8월에는 비도 제법, 구름도 제법, 습도도 제법이었습니다.
약간 수그러들었던 기온이 이번 주간에는 90여 도를 넘나든다 합니다만 여름은 지나갔지 싶습니다.
9월에 주실 새로운 도전들을 기다리며 마음을 모둡니다.
Even Tuba City is drier than the surrounding areas, still it was more rainy, more cloudy, and more damp in August.
It may hit 90s again this coming week, but summer seems like to be over.
We try to focus on new challenges in September.
말씀 사역
살아 역사하시는 말씀의 능력에 의지하여 부족하나마 말씀을 나눌 때마다 몸부림치고 있습니다.
Bitter Springs Baptist Church에서 2회
Tuba City Presbyterian Church는 원래 둘째, 넷째 주일 말씀을 나누기로 합의했었으나 당 교회 일정상 취소했습니다.

We agreed to share in the second and fourth Sundays in Tuba City Presbyterian Church but cancelled due to the church schedule.

매 주 금요일 투바시티 야외시장에서 무료 침치료 및 성경 등의 신앙 학습 자료들을 배포합니다.
8월에는 투바시티만 네 차례 출장했습니다.
8월 누계=> 침사역 116, 성경사역 35
금년 누계=> 침사역 504, 성경사역 226
총 누계=> 침사역 3581, 성경사역 1433
숫자는 단순 통계에 불과하지만 많은 분들이 고마워하는 사역이며 숫자와 효과 외에 헤아릴 수 없는 하나님의 역사를 기대합니다.
Outdoor Market Ministries
We do free acupuncture and Bible Ministry every Friday in Tuba City Outdoor Market.
We served 4 times in July in Tuba City.
In August=> 116 Acupuncture, and 35 Bible Ministry
2023=> 504 Acupuncture, and 226 Bible Ministry
Running Total => 3581 Acupuncture, and 1433 Bible Ministry
Of course number is a mere statistic but many people are appreciative and there should be God's sovereign ministry which is immeasurable.
선교지 방문 조율
여름철 단기선교는 지나갔고 개별적 현지 방문을 맞이하고 있습니다.
8월에는 세 분이 삼박사일로, 네 분이 당일치기로 방문했습니다.

Vision Trip Welcomed
Summer season is over now but we host vision trip.
We had 3 guests for 3 nights 4 days, and 4 for a day trip in August.

개인 건강 점검
특정 증상은 없었지만 정기검진 차원으로 지난 7월에 생애 처음으로 대장내시경을 했고 8월 2일 담당 의사를 만나 별 이상 없음을 확인했습니다. (이전에 검사한 아내도 무병.)
특기할 것은, 당연히 보호구역 밖에서 진료를 받아야 하는 상황으로 전문의를 만나는 데만도 서너 달이 걸리는 형편이었는데 전례 없이 투바시티에 위치한 원주민 및 의료인 가족들에게만 허용되는 병원에서 모든 일정을 처리했다는 것이었습니다.
한 동네에서 이동하는 편의는 물론 현지인들의 의료시설을 사용하는 마음이 자못 만족했습니다.
하나님께 감사드리며 건강 주시는 때까지, 기회를 주시는 때까지 성심껏 하나님을 경외하며 그분의 백성들을 섬기겠습니다.
Personal Health Check
I had a colonoscopy, without a symptom but as a regular check, in July and follow up on August 2 with a doctor and found there was no abnormal founding. (My wife was okay too with previously done exam.)
A special thing is that, I had to go through the procedures out of the Reservation, where it might take a few months to see a doctor but, every procedure had been done quickly in Tuba City Health Care Center in which only native and medical family allowed to be treated.
Local transportation was a big convenience but happier to be treated in the same facility with the local people.
Thanking God and we will do our best to honor Him and serve His people as long as He gives me health and chance to serve.
운동클래스 개설 예정
9월 11일부터 월, 목, 주 2회 성인들을 위한 운동클래스를 한 지역교회 친교실에서 시작할 계획입니다.
이 모임에서는 도인(導引-끌고 당김)체조, 무술 기초, 호흡 훈련 등을 하려고 합니다.
역시 매사 제일 힘든 부분은 시작하는 것.
복음사역에 더하여 교육 및 건강 사역을 도모하는 입장에서 어쩌면 필연적인 사역입니다만 현장 반응이 어떨지... 상념이 많은 만큼 기도하며 인도하심을 기다립니다.
Exercise Class Launching
We try to launch an adult exercise class beginning at September 11, twice a week, Monday and Thursday, in a fellowship hall of a local church.
We may do stretching, martial art basics, and breathing training.
The beginning is the most difficult for everything as always.
It is an eventual as a part of our ministry attempts- faith, education, and health.
But we don't know what's going to happen until we tried.
Many thoughts and concerns would be our prayer for the future.
사역부지, 거주부지, 그리고 중장기 동역자 확보 문제
이 세 가지 과제에 하나님의 절묘한 역사가 이뤄지기를 기도합니다.
Business Site, Home Site, and Mid/Long-Term Field Missionary
May God bring everything together to make these three tasks happen together in His sovereignty.
