아리조나 투바시티에서 원주민들을 섬기는 이영호, 이선옥 선교사입니다.
Shalom!
Greetings in our Lord Jesus Christ.
This is pastor Young & Sun Lee who're serving Native Americans in Tuba City Arizona.
예년보다 비가 좀 더 와서 비교적 푸른 풀들을 보았습니다만 이제 창조의 섭리에 따라 만사가 안으로 갈무리되는 계절입니다.
한 해의 마지막 사분기를 맞이하며 올 한 해를 어떻게 마무리할 것인지, 어떤 다짐으로 새해를 맞이할 것인지, 그래서 지금 이 시간을 잘 보내고 있는지 돌아보는 시간들입니다.
We've seen greener grass due to more rain but now we are looking inside of things according to the order of creation.
We reflect ourselves of how we may wrap up this year, what plan we may have for the upcoming new year, or if we were faithful in this current moment in the last quarter of this year.
말씀 사역
살아 역사하시는 말씀의 능력에 의지하여 부족하나마 말씀을 나눌 때마다 몸부림치고 있습니다.
Bitter Springs Baptist Church에서 2회
Tuba City Presbyterian Church에서는 두 달 만에 한 번 말씀을 나눴습니다.
말씀나눔 소기의 목적달성- 하나님의 뜻과 나라를 이 땅에 이루기 위하여 노력하는 와중, 이야말로 영적 전쟁의 현장이 아닌가 싶습니다.
쉬운 해결책이 있을 수 없는 현지 지도력 결핍 등 많은 난제가 산적한 주변 환경과 형편 가운데에서도 한 걸음씩 진보할 수 있도록 기도해주시기 바랍니다.
Message Sharing
I am trying to do my best to share messages relying on the vital power of the Scripture.
2 times in Bitter Springs Baptist Church, and
One time in Tuba City Presbyterian Church in the last 2 months.
It seems like that trying to establish the Kingdom and Will of God in this land is a true spiritual warfare.
Please pray for us so that we may advance one step at a time in spite of many difficulties such as lack of local leadership and other hindrances.

매 주 금요일 투바시티 야외시장에서 무료 침치료 및 성경 등의 신앙 학습 자료들을 배포합니다.
기존에 나누던 어린이성경이야기책+참고 학습자료, 구약요약+신약성경 등의 자료에 더하여 성인들을 대상으로 하는 세 가지 소책자들을 사역에 추가하였습니다.
9월에는 투바시티 장마당에 다섯 번 출장했습니다.
9월 누계=> 침사역 102, 성경사역 42
금년 누계=> 침사역 606, 성경사역 268
총 누계=> 침사역 3683, 성경사역 1475
숫자는 단순 통계에 불과하지만 이로 인해 현지인들이 신체적 정신적 해방을 경험하고 있으니만치 이에 더하여 영광을 받으시는 하나님의 역사를 기대합니다.
Outdoor Market Ministries
We do free acupuncture and Bible Ministry every Friday in Tuba City Outdoor Market.
We served 5 times in September in Tuba City.
In September=> 102 Acupuncture, and 42 Bible Ministry
Year 2023=> 606 Acupuncture, and 268 Bible Ministry
Running Total => 3683 Acupuncture, and 1475 Bible Ministry
Of course number is a mere statistic but many people are experiencing physical and mental liberation so may God's Glory would be revealed.
무술 운동클래스 개설
9월 11일부터 월, 목, 주 2회 모든 연령대를 위한 운동클래스가 한 지역교회 친교실에서 시작되었습니다.
현지 선교시작 이후 몇 가지 사역들을 계획하고 시작했습니다만 이 사역... 특히 재정적인 전망이 불투명함으로 인해서 가장 어려운 시작이 아니었나 싶습니다.
일단 숫자로 나타나는 현실은 매우 미약합니다.
그러나 시작하기 전의 두려움은 사라졌습니다.
우리는 첫 발을 내디뎠고 조만간 중지할 계획은 아직 없습니다.
사역을 주도하고 있는 저와 제 아내는 지금까지의 운동효과에 매우 만족해합니다.
마치 저 먼 하늘의 구름 한 조각 같이, 베풀어주신 소수의 참여자로 인해 하나님께 감사드립니다.
3주 동안 여섯 번 참여한 한 학생은 체중이 줄었고 몸이 많이 유연해졌다고 하니 긍정적인 기대감을 가져봅니다.
시간이 지남에 따라 질과 양에서 발전할 것이라는 소망을 가지고 있습니다.
이 사역은 저희들의 종합적인 사역 목표의 일환인 만큼 타 사역과의 연계 및 상조는 물론 지평 확장의 효과가 있을 것으로 기대합니다.
그동안 진행되던 주일, 혹은 금요일의 정규 사역에 월, 목 사역이 더해지니 일주일이 순식간에 지나갑니다.
빨리 흐르는 시간이 아쉽기도 하지만 그것은 낭비에서 오는 아쉬움이 아니라 더 큰 생산성에 대한 기대감이 아닐까 싶습니다.
시작했다는 것, 현재 진행되고 있다는 것, 앞으로 더 좋아질 것이라는 생각 때문에 매우 기쁩니다.
Martial Arts Exercise Class Launched.
We began an exercise class for all age group on September 11, twice a week, Monday and Thursday, in a fellowship hall of a local church.
Even we have planed and launched some ministry projects in this mission field, this might be the most challenging one because of its financial uncertainty.
The numerical reality of beginning is very humbling.
But the fear we used to have has been disappeared.
We put our first step in and no plan to quit yet.
I and my wife, who lead the ministry, are very happy for the effect of the exercise.
We have positive expectation since a boy said he lost weight and getting more flexible after six classes in 3 weeks.
So much thankful for those God-Given few participants, as like small cloud over the sky.
It will be getting better in quantity and quality alike.
Since this is a part of our whole ministry scope, there will be some synergy, connection, and even more expansion in our ministry horizon.
Time flies even faster than before with two more days, Monday and Tuesday, now added to existing regular ministries on Sunday and Friday.
Feels like we may loosing some time but it should be better efficiency rather than wasting time.
We are happy for that we began, are doing, and will continue.
개인 외출 일정
제 아내는 둘째 아이를 분만하는 둘째 딸과 신생아를 돌보기 위해 10월 16일부터 뉴저지를 방문할 예정입니다.
아내가 없는 동안 현지의 친구가 제 장마당 사역을 도와줄 것입니다.
저는 11월 14일 뉴저지를 방문하여 아내와 함께 11월 29일 돌아올 예정입니다.
비록 개인일정이지만 와중에 귀한 선교소통과 교제의 기회가 되기를 바랍니다.
Personal Trip
My wife, Sun will go to New Jersey on Oct. 16 to take care of our second daughter who's going to deliver her second child.
While she's away, my local friend will help my market ministry.
I will join her in Nov. 14 in New Jersey and will come back on 29 with my wife.
Even though it's a personal outing but hope there might be some chance for ministry communication and fellowship.
