아리조나 투바시티에서 원주민들을 섬기는 이영호, 이선옥 선교사입니다.

Greetings in our Lord Jesus Christ.
This is pastor Young & Sun Lee who're serving Native Americans in Tuba City Arizona.
어제 기온이 갑작스럽게 빙점 이하(화씨 21도, 섭씨 영하 6도)로 떨어지는 바람에 실외 물 호스가 얼어붙었습니다.
서둘러 호스도 철거했고 이동진료차량 물도 다 뺐습니다.
대낮 햇살은 따뜻하지만 역시 계절의 변화는 어김이 없습니다.
추위에 움츠러드는 마음... 그러나 좋은 생각, 좋은 일들로 올해 남은 두 달도 잘 채워보자 다짐합니다.
The temperature dropped under the freezing point(21℉, -6°C) yesterday so the garden hose was frozen.
Rushed to disconnect the hose and emptied water system of the mobile clinic bus.
It is yet warm in daytime but the season certainly changed.
The weather intimidates but we try to spend the remaining two months of this year with good thoughts and good actions.
말씀 사역
살아 역사하시는 말씀의 능력에 의지하여 부족하나마 말씀을 나눌 때마다 몸부림치고 있습니다.
Bitter Springs Baptist Church에서 두 번,
Tuba City Presbyterian Church에서 한 번,
Tonalea Full Gospel Church에서 한 번 말씀을 나눴습니다.
겉으로 말씀을 나누기까지 내적으로 벌어지는 많은 일들, 특히 사람의 생각들이 개재될 수밖에 없습니다.
이런 가운데서도 인내하며 주님의 뜻을 발견하고 따르고자 노력합니다.
Message Sharing
I am trying to do my best to share messages relying on the vital power of the Scripture.
Two times in Bitter Springs Baptist Church,
One time in Tuba City Presbyterian Church, and
One time in Tonalea Full Gospel Church.
Until we came to share a message there could be many humanly thoughts involved in.
We try, however, to find God's will and follow after with many patience.
장마당사역
매 주 금요일 투바시티 야외시장에서 무료 침치료 및 성경 등의 신앙 학습 자료들을 배포합니다.
10월에는 투바시티 장마당에 세 번 출장했습니다.
날씨가 추워지면서 점차 방문자들이 줄고 있습니다.
11월 3, 10일 두 차례 더 하고 내년 2, 3월까지 겨울휴식에 들어갑니다.
10월 누계=> 침사역 42, 성경사역 10
금년 누계=> 침사역 648, 성경사역 278
총 누계=> 침사역 3725, 성경사역 1485
숫자는 단순 통계에 불과하지만 이로 인해 현지인들이 신체적 정신적 해방을 경험하고 있으니만치 이에 더하여 영광을 받으시는 하나님의 역사를 기대합니다.
Outdoor Market Ministries
We do free acupuncture and Bible Ministry every Friday in Tuba City Outdoor Market.
We served 3 times in October in Tuba City.
Lesser people are coming as the weather getting cold.
Two more times on Nov 3 & 10, we go into seasonal break until February or March next year.
In October=> 42 Acupuncture, and 10 Bible Ministry
Year 2023=> 648 Acupuncture, and 278 Bible Ministry
Running Total => 3725 Acupuncture, and 1485 Bible Ministry
Of course number is a mere statistic but many people are experiencing physical and mental liberation so may God's Glory would be revealed.
무술 운동클래스 중단
아쉽게도 9월 11일부터 한 지역교회 친교실에서 시작한 운동 클래스를 한 달 만에 중지하게 되었습니다.
어려운 가운데서도 어떻게든 끌고 나가고 싶었지만 우리가 어려운 걸 알아서였는지(?) 참여자들이 자발적으로 포기하는 바람에 자의반 타의반으로 사역을 중단할 수밖에 없었습니다.
이번 시도로 우리는 중대한 사실을 확인하게 되었습니다.
애초에 호화판을 기대한 것도 아니고 대여섯 명 정도 최소한의 인원만 있어도 지속할 수 있었겠지만 그게 이뤄지지 않은 것이지요.
많은 사람들이 이번 사역에 긍정적인 반응을 보였지만 실제로 투신하는 사람들은 거의 없었다는 점입니다.
그렇다면 앞으로 이런 종류의 사역을 시도할 때 어떻게 해야겠느냐는 도전이 주어졌습니다.
지속가능한 사역을 위해서는 일단 자체관리가 가능한 장소확보가 가장 중요한 여건이며 그 다음은 장학금 지급 여부가 될 거 같습니다.
기대를 갖고 기도하고 있으니 주님이 이끄시는 대로 나아갈 것입니다.
시작에서 멈춘 사역이긴 하지만 이 사역을 긍정적으로 평가하시고 물심양면 용기를 주신 분들에게 진심으로 감사드립니다.
이번 일을 계기로 저는 제 개인적인 운동을 지속하고자 노력하고 있습니다.
Martial Arts Exercise Class Launched.
Sorry but the exercise class since September 11 in a fellowship hall of a local church has been terminated.
We wanted go on even in such difficult situations but, if they knew we were in trouble, those few participants quitted themselves so we have to stop the program voluntarily/involuntarily.
We learned some very important facts with this trial.
We didn't expect huge but maybe several might make us to go on but that didn't happen.
Many expressed their interest but very few actually commit themselves.
Then, how we would do it when we try again is the challenge.
I think we have to secure, first of all, a self-manageable space, and secondly, scholarship to make it sustainable.
Since we are praying with expectations so just wait for the guidance of the Lord.
We also give many thanks for those who valued our attempt and sent many encouragement with prayer and finance alike.
Because of this incident, I try to continue my personal exercise.
개인 외출 일정
제 아내는 예정보다 열흘 일찍 둘째 아이(남아)를 분만한 둘째 딸과 신생아를 돌보기 위해 10월 10일부터 뉴저지를 방문 중입니다. 저는 11월 14일 뉴저지를 방문하여 아내와 함께 11월 29일 돌아올 예정입니다.
비록 짧은 개인일정이지만 와중에 귀한 선교소통과 교제의 기회가 되기를 바랍니다.
Personal Trip
My wife, Sun is in New Jersey since Oct. 10 to take care of our second daughter who delivered her second child baby boy on Oct. 4, 10 days earlier than expected.
I will join her in Nov. 14 in New Jersey and will come back on 29 with my wife.
Even though it's a short personal outing but hope there might be some chance for ministry communication and fellowship.
