오늘도 우리의 삶을 예비하시고 인도하시는 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 문안드립니다.

전 세계를 강타하는 코로나바이러스로 인한 무거운 마음으로 2020년 첫 선교소식을 보냅니다.

저희들도 조심하는 한편 그저 다들 무탈하시기만을 바랄 뿐입니다.

Pastors Community Services in Market

2월 21일 투바시티에서 사역을 시작하여 투바시티에서 세 번, 카옌타에서 두 번, 도합 다섯 번의 장마당사역을 통하여 159명의 의료섬김, 50명의 어린이사역을 감당했습니다.

겨울 휴식 후 본 사역을 다시 시작하는 데에도 여러 가지 일들이 있었습니다만 지금 직면하는 전염병 문제는 꿈에도 생각하지 못했던 큰 장애가 아닐 수 없군요.

지역 자치단체 주관의 코로나바이러스 대책 모임에서만 해도 아직은 보호구역이 청정지역이라 해서 꽤 긍정적이었는데 불과 며칠 사이로 상황은 급변하고 있습니다.

나바호정부에서도 위생관리와 더불어 여행 및 집회 자제 등 예방차원의 비상사태를 발령했습니다.

상점에서도 관계 상품들이 품절되었으며 언제 재공급이 될지 아무런 기약도 없습니다.

게다가 의료사역이 진행되고 있는 트레일러가 8X13 정도의 폐쇄된 작은 공간이라 염려가 없지 않았는데 이래저래 장마당사역도 사태가 안정될 때까지 당분간 중지해야할 거 같습니다.

선교활동을 위하여 외부에서 온 우리 입장에서는 현지인들보다 몇 배 더 조심해야 하는 것이 당연하겠죠.

(와중에 지방단체에서 장마당 무기한 폐쇄조치를 발표했습니다.)

어서 속히 당 사태가 수습되기만을 기도할 뿐입니다.

We served 159 acupuncture services and 50 children ministries in 5 (3 in Tuba City, 2 in Kayenta) Market Ministries since Feb 21.

Even we had to get through many obstacles to begin the second season, never dreamt of this scale of pandemic spread of coronavirus.

Local people were pretty optimistic when they talked about it to be one of the cleanest, and safest area in the States, things got dramatically changed in a few days.

The Navajo government declared state of emergency for prevention purpose.

Related merchants are all sold out and rare to find in local stores nowadays.

We've been concerned for small confined space (8X13) of mobile clinic, we'd better stop the Market Ministries until the situation subdued.

We, missionaries from outside, should be more careful than these local people in handling the situation.

(Meanwhile, local government announced the indefinite closure of weekly market.)

We just pray that this will pass as soon as possible.

Short-Term and Regular Ministries

이미 여름철 단기사역 일정 조율이 시작되었습니다만 이 또한 현 응급 의료상황을 피해갈 수가 없게 되었습니다. 그리하여...

현지답사 방문을 자제해주십시오.
여름철 사역일정을 조율하는 한편 사태변화에 유연하게 대처할 수 있도록 대안을 준비해주십시오.
현지사역이 위축되지 않도록 지속적으로 지원을 공급해주십시오.
물론 현 사태 시급종료를 위하여 기도해주십시오.

We are scheduling the summer short-term ministries but can't ignore the current medical emergent situations. Therefore...

Please stop/postpone the vision trip.
While continue the planning for your short-term ministries, prepare plan B to be able to respond to the possible upcoming changes.
Continue your mission support for our ongoing local ministries.
Of course, pray so that this will pass soon.

미래의 인턴 및 현지 선교팀의 중장기사역 준비

Internship and Mid/Long-Term Ministry Planning for Future

현재 상황에도 불구하고 앞으로 이뤄져야 할 인턴 및 현지 선교팀에 의해서 이뤄져야 할 중장기사역들을 꿈꾸고 있습니다.

현재의 사역에 동참할 일꾼들, 그리고 시작된 사역들을 지속적으로, 또한 발전적으로 이끌어나갈 차세대 사역자 확보가 절실한 과제입니다.

이를 위해서는 이곳 선교에 가장 큰 도전인 중장기 선교사들의 숙소확보가 관건입니다.

숙소 확보는 현재 진행되고 있는 선교관부지확보 및 건축과 연관이 되기도 하지만 별개의 문제이기도 합니다.

현지에서 도모하는 과정이 있지만 성사가 몹시 어려운 만큼 많은 기도후원을 부탁드립니다.

In spite of the current situation, we still are dreaming the future ministries which should be done by intern and local ministry staff.

We need co-laborers and leaders not only for current ongoing ministries but also for much more future ministries.

For this next level of ministries, it is mandatory for us to secure housings for those mid/long-term workers.

This may go together with the securing the site and building of the ministry center but also is another task.

We are working on this procedure but due to the difficulties we are facing, ask your continuing prayer support.
